How to Make Fried Noodles

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Yum! Fried noodles are delicious, here is how to make them.

Ingredients

  • Noodles
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Tomatoes
  • Lemon
  • carrots

Steps

  1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients on the table or another flat surface. It's just as simple as that. Yes, on the table.
  2. Heat your frying pan and add some olive oil in it while it's heating up.
  3. When the frying pan heats up, quickly chop the onions, garlic, carrots, tomatoes on the cutting board.
    • Be sure to cut the things mentioned into very small pieces like small cubes so that the noodles get the taste of every ingredient.
  4. Open the noodle from its package and crumble it into average pieces (not so small though). Smaller pieces have a higher chance of cooking all the way through.
  5. Your crumbled noodles should look something like in the figure. Just keep the noodles in the bowl for... well actually nothing.. just took picture of it to show it you.
  6. After your frying pan is hot enough with the oil and such... just put all the chopped stuffs in the frying pan and just leave it there for a while and stir it too.
  7. After some time in the frying pan, if the chopped stuff is ready, add the crumbled noodles there and just stir it for a while.
  8. After "for a while", that is, if the noodles smells great with the others, add the seasoning that came with the packet. If you didn't get one, then just add a pinch a salt or more according to your taste and then stir it up again. Now just add some water in it that is the noodle shouldn't sink in the water only 75 % of it should be.
  9. Keep out creation in the frying pan until all the water soaks up in the noodles. Now, squeeze about half a lime or according to your taste. Then there you have it, just serve it up that president who's going to come to your home later on.

How to Make Egg Noodles

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Egg noodles are easy to make, and you can freeze them to save for later.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of Flour
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • Pinch of Salt

Steps

  1. In a large bowl put 2-3 cups of flour. Clear a small hole in the middle to make a cone-shaped well. This will make it easy to mix the wet ingredients into the dough.
  2. Add a pinch of salt to the flour.
  3. Crack 2 eggs into the cone-shaped well.
  4. Take a spoon and mix thoroughly, but not aggressively. If you don't mind getting sticky, clean hands can mix the dough even more effectively.
  5. You'll know the dough is ready when it comes to the texture of wet Play-DohTM. You should then wrap it in plastic and let it set for 20 minutes, so that the gluten can relax. This will make it easier for you to work.
  6. Put some flour on your counter. This will keep the noodle dough from sticking to your work surface.
  7. Take the dough out of the bowl. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, working from the middle out, then from the middle in.
  8. When the dough is about a quarter of an inch thick, cut the dough into strips with a pizza cutter or a large knife.
  9. Cook the noodles in boiling water or chicken broth until they float.
  10. Finished.

How to Make Noodles from Wheat Flour

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
[Includes measurements] For as long as there have been humans, there has been pasta. Most civilizations have their own version, with ingredients available to them. The most common pasta in North America is the white noodle that is either in the shape of Spaghetti, Linguine, or Ravioli. No matter which one, the process is usually the same.

Steps

  1. On a large flat surface, gently drop 2 cups of flour to form a volcano (that is to say, a mountain of flour with a hole in the middle).
  2. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
  3. Drop your enough eggs to make 1/2 cup of eggs,or 1/2 cup of water in the middle and gently cover with some of the flour.
  4. Start gently mixing and kneading.
  5. Remember to add eggs or flour as needed. What you are looking for is a somewhat firm dough that will not stick to your fingers.
  6. Once this is achieved, wrap in plastic paper and leave to rest for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Roll it out by hand or use a pasta machine.
  8. Let dry.

Tips

  • A good rule of thumb to remember is that you will need one egg per cup of flour.
  • You can also add other ingredients such as sun dried tomatoes or spinach. Just adjust the amount of flour and eggs.
  • Remember that you can shape your pasta to make Spaghetti but cutting it, but you can also make long sheets of pasta for Lasagna, or smaller ones for Ravioli.
  • Remember that temperature will affect the capacity of the flour to retain moisture. Hence, on a rainy day, you might need more flour. On a sunny day, you might need more eggs.
  • Pasta dough is very forgiving if you treat it smartly.
  • You can also decide to use only yolks to change the taste of your pasta.

Warnings

  • Fresh pasta will only last for a week or so.

Things You'll Need

  • Eggs ( or water )
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • (optional) measuring cups
